Portrait of Raymond Noblet

I am a Professor and Head (retired) of the Department of Entomology in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Prior to joining the faculty of the University of Georgia in August 1997, I was Professor of Entomology and Environmental Toxicology at Clemson University. I have previously taught courses in environmental toxicology, entomology, and environmental sciences. My research interests include the development of bioassay systems for microbial control agents for use in vector control programs. Other recent research activities have included biological control of insect vectors of disease agents, management of livestock and poultry pests, use of invertebrates as bioindicator species of environmental quality and habitat mitigation in agroecosystems. I have extensive field research experience in environmental toxicology and entomological research. I have served as principal investigator of awards totaling $1,327,000 and co-investigator on awards totaling $3,160,000 over the past 10 years. Recently included was a multi-year environmental toxicology scholarship/fellowship program funded by the Department of Defense.
