Business Manager: Liz Duclos

Liz Duclos is the new business manager for the Department of Entomology. Liz grew up in Athens, GA before attending Georgia College & State University (GCSU) in Milledgeville, GA where she obtained her bachelor’s in business administration. She then began working at GCSU in the Institutional Budget Office for over three years before transferring back to Athens to work at UGA for the Entomology department. She is completing her master’s in public administration and is planning to graduate this May 2024.

One fun fact about Liz is that she has a twin brother, and he also works for UGA. Liz said she enjoys working at UGA Entomology but is still working on her comfort level with insects. She enjoys watching them in their contained enclosures but if a roach dares to cross her path, she will take care of business!

But witnesses at Insectival this past fall revealed that she did in fact hold one of our sweet tarantulas in her hand!
